<p>Sam Quiambao (he/him) is a senior studying drama and informatics with a focus on human computer interaction. He transferred to UW from South Seattle College, intending to study computer science. When he didn’t get into CS, he found himself without a backup plan. But, remembering how much he enjoyed a high school theatre course, he enrolled in Intro to Acting and rediscovered his love for theatre. Sam is now a core member of the Drama community, serving as the Executive Director of the Undergraduate Theatre Society and working as the School of Drama's Engagement Assistant.

<p>The University of Washington School of Drama is thrilled to share that Dr. Jasmine Mahmoud will join us as our new Assistant Professor of Theatre History, Theory, and Criticism in the fall of 2021. </p>

<p>We are thrilled to introduce you to new UW Drama faculty member Adrienne Mackey, who joined us this quarter as an Assistant Professor of Acting, Directing, and Devising. Mackey is teaching remotely from her home in Philadelphia this quarter with plans to relocate to Seattle with her husband, Bradley Wrenn, this spring. (Bradley will also be teaching a new course on improvisation next quarter at UW—stay tuned for more about that!) </p>

<p>This winter, UW School of Drama is collaborating with the undergraduate theatre training programs from Cornish College of the Arts and Seattle University to present <em>Uncharted Waters</em>, a virtual tri-production of two plays: William Shakespeare’s <em>Twelfth Night</em>, and <em>Bodies of Water, </em>a new devised work responding to the themes of <em>Twelfth Night</em>.</p>
