<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Black Movement in Art & Protest, Imaginative Realms- A Worldbuilding Laboratory, Experiential and Historical Understanding of Chinese Dance: </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">These are the titles of courses that second-year MFA Dance candidates are teaching in the Department of Dance this quarter.
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Department of Dance is thrilled to announce that Dr. Monica Rojas will be joining the UW Dance full-time faculty as an Assistant Professor of Dance beginning in July 2024. </span></p>
<p><span>The Dance Majors Concert is a platform for students to express their creative voices through every aspect of dance- from choreography to lighting, to costuming. Dance majors who have taken 3 dance-making classes</span><span> </span><span>have the opportunity to choreograph on and collaborate with other undergraduates for this annual performance.</span></p>

<p>The UW Department of Dance is excited to announce its first ever UW Dance Alumni Week! Mark your calendars because this spring, the UW Department of Dance will be inviting all of our UW Dance alumni to attend classes for free all week long and dance alongside current students with new and returning faculty! </p>

<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Showcasing dances by faculty choreographers <strong>Alana Isiguen</strong>, <strong>Christine Sahin</strong>, and <strong>Jennifer Salk</strong>, this year’s concert will also feature work by the internationally renowned and PNW kiki ballroom ‘legend,’ <strong>Tracey Wong</strong>.</span></i></p>
