UW Dance Presents

Accompanying new works generated from a diverse range of contemporary movement lexicons, t</span><span>he bill also includes original sound scores from </span><span>composers Ivory Smith and </span><span>Dr.

UW Dance Presents

<p><span>The UW Department of Dance is excited to present new works from nationally and internationally recognized choreographers Rujeko Dumbutshena, Alana Isiguen, Rachael Lincoln, Juliet McMains, "Majinn" Mike O'Neal, and Jennifer Salk, with guest artists Alex Dugdale and Alice Gosti.</span></p>

Dance Majors Concert

<p><span>The 2022 annual Dance Majors Concert will present 11 student-choreographed works in Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Street Styles. This platform gives students the opportunity to express their creative voices through all elements of production and performance including choreography, lighting and costume design, among others. Come experience the premieres of original work by these adventurous undergraduate students.</span></p>

Chamber Dance Company: 30th Anniversary Season

<p><span>Described as a “pure, buoyant delight for audiences” by the </span><i><span>Seattle Times</span></i><span>, the Chamber Dance Company </span><span>celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in October 2021. This year’s concert investigates the empathy, intimacy and confusion that comprise human relationships. The program includes choreography by Camille A. Brown (2010), Joe Goode (2004), Zvi Gotheiner (1992), Shapiro & Smith (1999) and Doug Varone (1988).</span></p>

Chamber Dance Company 

<p><span>The <span class="il">Chamber</span> Dance Company returns to the stage in October 2022. This year’s program, (<em><a href="#h6sl83aj2iv1dmhuqsja16s31ay3goq">see content advisory</a></em>) performed in the intimate Meany Studio Theatre, celebrates </span><span>a broad sweep of</span><span> contemporary dance</span><span> styles</span><span>.

Dance Majors Concert 

<p dir="ltr"><span>The 2023</span><span> Dance Majors Concert presents 11 student-choreographed dance works in contemporary ballet, vogue, hip-hop, and contemporary modern. Through different styles, students explore themes of identity, gender, isolation, belonging, and celebration. This high-energy evening of dance is one you won’t want to miss</span><span>.</span></p>
