Halloween Organ Concert

<p class="p1">It’s Alive! The ever-popular Halloween Organ Concert rises from the dead with the arrival of Dr. Stephen Price, the UW’s inaugural Paul B. Fritts Faculty Fellow, who joins with friends to host a program of spooky organ classics and Halloween fun. With Melia Watras, Wyatt Smith, Trey Wheeler, Karen Haining, Emily Chua, and Stephen Price. </p>

Wind Ensemble Chamber Winds

<p>Members of the UW Wind Ensemble (Timothy Salzman, director) perform music arranged for small ensembles. Program includes music by Igor Stravinsky, Kevin Puts, Guy Woolfenden, Bobby Ge, and others. With graduate conductors Shaun Day, Roger Wu Fu, and David Stewart. </p>

Guest Composer Concert: Seattle-Isfahan Project

<p>The latest installment of an ongoing series created by artistic director Naeim Rahmani ('10 BM, Guitar Performance), the program includes commissioned works by Iranian composers living outside of Iran and Seattle-based composers with strong ties to the UW Composition Program: Huck Hodge, Joël-François Durand, Jeff Bowen, and Yigit Kölat. </p>

Baroque Ensemble

<p>The UW Baroque Ensemble (Tekla Cunningham, director) presents "Baroque Pearls from Venice,” a program of works by Merula, Castello, Rosenmüller, Marini, Uccellini as well as a fully improvised Passamezzo Antico. </p>

UW Percussion Ensemble

<div>The UW Percussion Ensemble (Bonnie Whiting, director) explores early 1930s percussion repertoire in its program <em>Ionisation, </em>reimagining Edgard Varèse's iconic early percussion work with the <i> Afrocubanismo</i> pioneer Amadeo Roldán's <i>Ritmicas</i> as well as music by James Tenney, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Nick Hubble.</div>

WinterFest

<p>This popular annual program by the Chamber Singers, University Chorale, University Singers, Treble Choir, Gospel Choir, and UW Glee Club features seven conductors, six choral ensembles, five hundred singers, four graduate conductors, three choral faculty, two hours of great music, and one impressive grand finale.</p>
