Modern Band and UW Jazz Studies Faculty

<p>The Modern Band (Cuong Vu, director) performs original music by band members Beau Wood, EJ Brannan, Andrew Friedrich and Jacob Linden as well as selections by Radiohead and Paul Motian. In the second half of the program, faculty trio Marc Seales, piano; Ted Poor, drums; and Steve Rodby, bass perform re-imaginings of jazz standards plus some original music. </p>

WinterFest

<blockquote>This popular annual program by the Chamber Singers, University Chorale, University Singers, Treble Choir, Gospel Choir, and UW Glee Club features seven conductors, six choral ensembles, five hundred singers, four graduate conductors, three choral faculty, two hours of great music, and one impressive grand finale.</blockquote>

Concerto Competition: Piano/Keyboard

<p><span>UW keyboard performance students perform concerto movements for outside judges for a chance to perform with the UW Symphony. Judges for this competition are Victor Rosenbaum (New England Conservatory), Jensina Oliver (Shoreline Community College), and Dainius Vaicekonis (Seattle Pacific University). </span></p>
