The following policies and procedures will be in place for all ticketed ArtsUW events at Meany Hall, the Jones Playhouse, and the Hughes Penthouse. This includes all ticketed events hosted by the School of Music, School of Drama, Department of Dance, DXARTS Department, and Meany Center. Policies are for all University of Washington students, faculty, and public attendees. The information below is provided to help you make the decision that is best for you about attending our events.
Our health protocols are informed by UW guidelines and, as such, we will not require proof of vaccination or a recent negative test to attend events. Face coverings are strongly recommended, but not currently required for the 22/23 season.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19—stay home, even if you are fully vaccinated. Please refer to the UW’s public health guidance and requirements flowchart to determine when you can safely return to UW’s Campus and presenting spaces. Additional resources for isolation and precautions can be found on the CDC website.
Through the ArtsUW Customer Care Commitment, if for any reason you are unable to attend an event, you may receive a full refund for your tickets prior to the performance.
Face coverings are strongly recommended during activities that may generate more respiratory aerosols and involve frequent close contact or crowd settings. Face coverings remain an important way to protect against respiratory illness of all kinds, including COVID-19. When you choose to wear a mask, use a well-fitted, high-quality mask—such as a KN95, KF94, N95 or surgical mask—instead of a cloth mask alone. This will help protect you as well as those around you.

For the Meany Center Visiting Artist Series, if you require special seating accommodations, our ticketing staff will work with you to make alternate seating arrangements.
